On one hand the torture is unrelenting, but you'd get a glimpse, an insight to keep you plodding along. I find myself hesitating with my final judgement. the man know's the psychological triggers behind it, and shows it in all its disturbing splendor.Every time I'm certain I have a fix on who's pulling the strings or how much I loathe Vince. And all I can say is I WANT MORE!Keep in mind THIS IS A SERIES!This author is completely new to me and I found his writing style gritty and evocative and erotic a. and immediately scrambled to read this book. You were left no reason to continue caring.I finished the first book, Prisoner at 3 am. ![]() They were too dark, you never felt a connection with the villain/s or the torture was so unrelenting that all glimmer of hope was extinguished. It's been a while since I've read this type of book - mostly because they became predictable. ![]() This is dark erotica, heavy BDSM, Torment. ![]() This book is not a sweet and fuzzy romance. Now since I read both books in a row, my review's are pretty close to the same. Review 1: I just read Prisoner, and Hell and Beyond in one sitting. ![]()
